Ear Infection

An ear infection (acute otitis media) is most often a bacterial or viral infection affecting the middle ear. Children are more likely than adults to suffer from ear infectons. Symptoms may include earache or pain, mild deafness, discharge, fever and headache. Often, ear infections clear up on their own. Treatment generally begins with pain management and monitoring.
