The person experiences hallucinations or delusions after accidentally ingesting a psychoactive substance. Hallucinations involve sensing things while awake that appear to be real, but instead have been created by the mind. Common hallucinations include feeling body sensations, hearing sounds, including hearing voices when no one has spoken, seeing patterns that are not there, or smelling foul or pleasant odours.
