White Spots on The Nails
Leukonychia (leuconychia), also known as white nails or milk spots, is the term used for white discoloration of the nails. White spots on nails are common and can be caused by a number of factors. Causes of white spots on nails include nail injury, allergic reaction, fungal infection, or a deficiency in zinc, protein or calcium. Some serious diseases, such as liver or kidney disease, may also cause white spots to appear on the fingernails.
