Neck: Thyroid Enlargement
The thyroid gland, located at the front of the neck just below the Adam's apple, is enlarged. The thyroid gland manufactures hormones that are involved in metabolism and growth. An enlargement of the thyroid gland is called a 'goitre'. There are various causes of goitre, with treatment depending on the cause.
